In this month’s cellar clearing we have once balanced the number of white and red wines.
As expected, of course, the “Lillian Syrah 2008” from winemaker Maggie Harrison (former employee at the “Sine Qua None” winery) took the cake, but there were other positive surprises as well. First and foremost, the “Tros Blanc”, a Grenache Blanc from Alfredo Arribas Trossos in Montsant. But the other wines were all very nice, even if the Riesling from Clemens Busch (2011) already showed clear age tones – but also delightful.
